Yet man is born to trouble, As the sparks fly upward. Job 5:7
Job testified from experience that man is born to trouble especially when the devil and his cohorts unleashed their fury on him. As a result Job lost not only his wealth and his children but also his health. And yet in all his trouble Job didn’t curse God, but rather he stated:
"Naked I came from my mother's womb, And naked shall I return there. The LORD gave, and the LORD has taken away; Blessed be the name of the LORD." In all this Job did not sin nor charge God with wrong. Job 1:21-23
"Behold, happy is the man whom God corrects; Therefore do not despise the chastening of the Almighty. For He bruises, but He binds up; He wounds, but His hands make whole. He shall deliver you in six troubles, Yes, in seven no evil shall touch you. In famine He shall redeem you from death, And in war from the power of the sword. You shall be hidden from the scourge of the tongue, And you shall not be afraid of destruction when it comes. You shall laugh at destruction and famine, And you shall not be afraid of the beasts of the earth. For you shall have a covenant with the stones of the field, And the beasts of the field shall be at peace with you. Job 5:17-23
And Job’s trouble didn’t last forever. Satan was allowed to do only so much and then God stepped in. He healed Job, restored double all his losses, give him more sons and daughters and extended his life so after this Job lived one hundred and forty years, and saw his children and grandchildren for four generations. He died, old and full of days. Yes, trouble does has a source and Satan is behind a lot of trouble that men have to go through. But man is not without blame. However it doesn’t matter why trouble comes or who is the source of all our troubles, the LORD will be a refuge for the oppressed, a refuge in times of trouble. And those who know His name will put their trust in Him; for the LORD does not forsake those who seek Him. (Psalm 9:9-10). God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1).The righteous cry out, and the LORD hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles (Psakm 34:17). The salvation of the righteous is from the LORD; He is their strength in the time of trouble (Psalm 37:39). His word is unchanging:
Call upon Me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and you shall glorify Me." Psalm 50:15
In the day of my trouble I will call upon You, For You will answer me. Psalm 86:7
He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him and honor him. Psalm 91:15
The righteous is delivered from trouble, And it comes to the wicked instead. Proverbs 11:8
