FROM fINLAND

In my recent studies of theology; what would be the main difference(s) between the Antiochian (Syria) School and the Alexandrian (Egypt) School of Theology?

I know that the Alexandrian relied more on Grecian philosophy to interpret the Scriptures and the Godhead and the Antiochian School used more of a literal and historical interpretation of scripture. I am interested in the differences in the 1st 5 CTs.

Can anyone out there say more on the differences between these 2 schools? Any good website out there?

Thank you,
David.

Could a mod kindly move this thread over into TAW's regular forum?

Thanks.

Hi David! Welcome to our forum!

The "Library" doesn't get as much traffic as the rest, so hopefully you'll get an answer. If this doesn't get moved, though, you might want to repost it in the main part of TAW. There are a couple of people here knowledgable enough to answer, like Rick of Wessex or Julio, or maybe others. Hopefully one of them will see this.
