Technically, no I don't believe so. But I "get" the coining of the term. Where did you see the word used?

However, I believe it is an actual theological description for the study of Israel's History as well as Prophecy. :)

Exactly. Unfortunately, there is no recognized systematic theology of the study of Israel (Israelology) in mainstream Christianity, and there should be.

P.S. Yikes! The name of the subforum changed. Israelology is very appropriate. You can add 'ology' with impunity in the English language. I vote to change it back.

Well, if getting your book with that name published means that it is a real word then Arnold G. Fruchtenbaum (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/search-handle-url/index=books&field-author=Fruchtenbaum%2C%20Arnold%20G./102-9715943-2992162) made it a real word back about 1990.

No, I don't quite agree Toney - while it is a word few visiting the forum would know what it meant - the current title is clear and to the point :) But I am just one voice.... ;)

Besides, Israelology is in the sub-title of the sub-forum - LOL

I withdraw. Besides, you are right Henny. Prophesy is sexier and as a rule subforums require extreme makeovers. This one has some great threads!

I agree with Henaynei... the name of the forum was selected for a reason because it is to the point. This forum is about Israel in Prophecy & Current Events. Plus, if we changed it to Israelology, we would ahve approx 500 posts a day asking what "Israelology" means :D
