I've heard requests for prayers for those with Cancer...how about one to St Peregrine?
Novena To
St.Peregrine
Glorious wonder-worker, St. Peregrine, you answered the divine call with a ready spirit, and forsook all the comforts of a life of ease and all the empty honors of the world to dedicate yourself to God in the Order of His holy Mother. You labored manfully for the salvation of souls. In union with Jesus crucified, you endured painful sufferings with such patience as to deserve to be healed miraculously of an incurable cancer in your leg by a touch of His divine hand. Obtain for me the grace to answer every call of God and to fulfill His will in all the events of life. Enkindle in my heart a consuming zeal for the salvation of all men. Deliver me from the infirmities that afflict my body (especially.....). Obtain for me also a perfect resignation to the sufferings it may please God to send me, so that, imitating our crucified Savior and His sorrowful Mother, I may merit eternal glory in heaven.
St. Peregrine, pray for me and for all who invoke your aid.

Prayer to Saint Peregrine
O great St. Peregrine, you have been called "The Mighty," "The Wonder-Worker," because of the numerous miracles which you have obtained from God for those who have had recourse to you. For so many years you bore in your own flesh this cancerous disease that destroys the very fibre of our being, and who had recourse to
The source of all grace when the power of man could do no more. You were favoured with the vision of Jesus coming down from His Cross to heal your affliction. Ask of God and Our Lady, the cure of the sick whom we entrust to you.
(Pause here and silently recall the names of the sick for whom you are praying)
Aided in this way by your powerful intercession, we shall sing to God, now and for all eternity, a song of gratitude for His great goodness and mercy. Amen.

St. Peregrine was born in 1260 at Forlì, Italy to an affluent family. He lived a comfortable life as a youth, and politically opposed the papacy. After he experienced the forgiveness of St.Philip Benizi, he changed his life and joined the Servite order. He was ordained a priest, and later returned to his home to establish a Servite community. There he was widely known for his preaching, penances, and counsel in the confessional. He was cured of cancer, after he received a vision of Christ on the cross reaching out His hand to touch his impaired limb. He died in 1345 and was canonized in 1726. He is the patron of cancer patients.

Amen.

Novena To St.Peregrine - Day 6
Glorious wonder-worker, St.

Auntie’s friend Meichelle that her Cancer has not spread and for quick healing.
VERY VERY good news about my friend Meichelle! They removed her cervix and then did the lab work. The lab results said they found NO cancer cells in the lower part of her uterus, and the cells in the cervix were confined to the lining only. The doctor called her Friday night at 8:00pm to give her the good news, and the doc said she was VERY surprised the cancer had not spread, as this kind of cancer cell spreads very quickly.
What this means is that she will not have to have radiation or chemo. She will still have to have a hysterectomy, as a precaution. She is not out of the woods yet, but things are looking better!
I want to thank you all for your prayers! You are all so precious to me, and God is so good!

NOVENA TO BLESSED KATERI TEKAKWITHA
Feast Day July 14
http://www.kateritekakwitha.org/kateri/kateri2.jpg
http://www.kateritekakwitha.org/kateri/honorprayer.htm
Kateri, favored child, Flower of the Algonquins and Lily of the Mohawks, We come to seek your intercession in our present need: (mention it here).
We admire the virtures which adorned your soul: love of God and neighbor, humility, obedience, patience, purity and the spirit of sacrifice. Help us to imitate your example in our life. Through the goodness and mercy of God, Who has blessed you with so many graces which led you to the true faith and to a high degree of holiness, pray to God for us and help us.
Obtain for us a very fervent devotion to the Holy Eucharist so that we may love Holy Mass as you did and receive Holy Communion as often as we can. Teach us also to be devoted to our crucified Savior as you were, that we may cheerfully bear our daily crosses for love of Him Who suffered so much for love of us. Most of all we beg you to pray that we may avoid sin, lead a holy life and save our souls. Amen.
In thanksgiving to God for the graces bestowed upon Kateri: one Our Father, Hail Mary and three Glory Be's. Kateri, Flower of the Algonquins and Lily of the Mohawks, pray for us.

History
http://www.kateritekakwitha.org/kateri/
The Native Americans need a patron saint. Blessed Kateri Tekakwitha is that person. She was born of a Catholic Algonquin mother and a Mohawk father. She was influenced by the fervent Christianity of her mother and of the Black Robes to live a life of remarkable virtue, at heart not only a Christian - "a praying Indian" - but a Christian virgin. She attained the most perfect union with her Creator in prayer. Her extraordinary sanctity impressed not only her own people but the French and the Jesuit missionaries.
