I know of the Light of Elendil. That's a star. I know Isildur had a sword. I dunno.

Could just call it "Anduril". I know the book refers to it as "Anduril"

That would be the reforged sword Narsil which was Isildur's sword :) It was reforged as Aragorn's sword Anduril :)

I thought it was the sword of Isildur??He owned it very briefly, but it does not bare his namesake.
Anduril is the correct name for "the sword that was broken", "the flame of the west."

I know of the Light of Elendil. That's a star. I know Isildur had a sword. I dunno. The the light of Earendil...the sailor chap. Elendil was Isildur's father. When Sauron smote Elendil, Isildur picked up his sword (Narsil) and cut the finger off of Sauron's hand.

I thought it was the sword of Isildur??
Narcil, the sword in the image, was the sword of Elendil, High King of Gondor and Arnor. During his battle with Sauron he was killed and his blade was broken. Isildur took up the hilt of his fathers sword and cut off Sauron's fingers, including the one that had the Ring of Power on it. Sauron was temporarily defeated and everyone went home happy.
However, Narcil was never reforged. Isildur never reforged the blade and the shards were kept as an heirloom passed down from father-to-son of the Kings of the North Kingdom, Arnor. It was not born as a whole blade by another man until Aragorn. A week prior to the Fellowship setting out from Imladris (Rivendell) it was reforged by the elves and named Andúril, "Flame of the West". Aragorn carried it henceforth and it became an heirloom of the people of Gondor.

I just posted the explaination. They're two different swords. The Sword of Elendil was broken. It was remade into Andúril. You'd need two separate items.

Perhaps it could be consolidated into "Sword of the Gondorian King"? That sounds really bad though
My vote is Anduril over Narsil as that is what it was last known as, and is currently. At least to our knowledge.
