We have integrated the MSN Messenger Instant Messaging System onto our site - you can now view people on your contact list on our Forum Main Page, and chat with your friends online here. If you do not have MSN Messenger, just click on the link located in the MSN Messenger box to download it. Once you login, your contact list will automatically show up.

Enjoy! :)

If you're wondering why the usernames don't show up next to the icons, it's because MSN no longer allows external sites to show up a list of usernames online in Messenger - just the icons. :(

Essentially, I discovered you need to be using MSN as your ISP to see the usernames listed next to the icons. Otherwise, you still see a list of icons, but no usernames. The integration still works, and you can still chat with the people online. :)

mabey to help out in the confusion of the msn thing and names. I noticed that on my home computer I don't see names, and use their new messenger. On my laptop I still have the very first msn messenger interface, noticed microsoft disables a lot of things on their new software, anway on the laptop I get the names fine, and microsoft is not my provider. This might help the confusion...my 2cents anyway

Yeah, if you use the old MSN messenger versions you get to see the usernames.

Do you have a copy of the old MSN messeger program in a zipped file? If you do, I can make put it on this site and use it rather than the new version.
