ok. this is probably a dumb question, and i didn't know where else to post it, but I figured here would be a good spot to ask this...

What happened to the ark of the covenant? Is it lost? is it hidden, maybe underneath the temple? was it stolen??

I wonder because it seems to me that it's an awfully important object to have "misplaced" and I can't seem to find any information on it.

thanks for your patience! :)

Nobody knows where it is.The Ethiopians claim that they have it but Nobody has seen it because they wont allow anyone to see it. It's been rumored that it lays in Babylon in ssome place beneath the ground,My opinion is that it will never be found.

at one point in 1987, there was some excitement in the archological departments that the ark was found....then problems...and then nothing...so though I am also interested...I have not found out what has happened...even whether the report was true.

Another question is: Are you willing to concede that the Ark has been destroyed? Is anyone willing to take the position that it no longer exists? If not, it must be somewhere.

Some believe there are two. The Temple Faithful in Jerusalem believe that they have found it under the temple mount but will not reveal any more until they can actually bring it into a rebuilt temple.

That would be wonderful for it to be unearthed, to have the glory as it had in the beginning, and then the world would see the significance that Ark and the Testament (Ten Commandments). God can then announce court is in session, and judge them according to the Law of God.

There will be no excuse.."and the temple of God was opened in heaven, and there was seen in his temple the ark of his testament and there were lightnings and voices, and thunderings, and an earthquake, and great hail." Rev 11:19 "Judgment begins at the House of God." " fear God, and give glory to him, for the hour of his judgment is come and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters" Rev 14:7 Plagues can not fall until judgment has been rendered.

That would be the logical course....every citizen needs to know the laws of the "land" which will apply before being judged by it. Every citizen will need to have an opportunity to abide by the "law of the land" Since this is all God's land, He has the right to expect all to obey His laws.

He has offered salvation to all those that will accept it through Jesus Christ. He has given grace through Jesus, who fulfilled the law and showing it can be kept. By the Holy Spirit we are blessed with the opportunity to follow in the footsteps of Jesus and live the life that He showed us. May we all be richly blessed with the marriage on the day of atonment.
