What direction do Orthodox Priests face?

They face the Altar during Divine Liturgy.

In the liturgy of St John Chrysostom, most of the time, towards the altar, in the same direction as the laity, except when blessing the laity, reading the gospel, administering Holy Communion, and some other occasions which I cannot think of.

At first, I thought having the Priest's back to the congregation would be weird, but it feels very correct.

Faces for what? Most of the time, he faces the same way as the congregation because he is leading us in prayer, he is the presider [I'd say president, but that has changed its meaning]. But occasionally he turns around, like, to give blessings and such.

They face East if they've had the chance to have a temple constructed. Not my parish's case (yet).
