Destiny?

I am a late blooming Christain. I was raised all my life as a Christian but it was only a year ago where I was really hardcore for Christ. Now I am at a point where I feel I'm running on a treadmill, moving but I am not. I desire to find the direction of my destiny let alone catch up to it. Tell you the truth, I don't even know my gifts or talents.

How does someone find and catch their destiny?

For me it was by interacting with fellow christians at church... I got involved in a program called "ALPHA" which is geared toward helping people grow and mature in their beliefs. I haven't seen it taught at any baptist churches...

I would recommend getting involved in a deeper devotion type bible study small group if they have one at your church... Being in a small group or regularly attending a sunday school class really helps you grow and mature.

I have had the same feelings that you are experiencing... I think most of us have. Don't get discouraged... Spend time in prayer, join a small group and become more active in your church.

that is good advice stay close to other believers God has a purpose for you and eventually that purpose will be revealed. Lord Willing it will be soon but until then keep growing in God and serve in you local church.

Thanks guys. God recently told me to have patience. This is not the olny time He has said this, I just would like to now how long. The Lord is my portion, I shall wait for Him.

A Purpose Driven Life by Rick Warren. I think it'll help you answer alot of your questions about "catching up". Don't worry about that though because you have your whole etnernal life now to learn about God hehe. ^_^
