over the past few months, i have had a marked increase of dreams where either i was serving the parish in some function, or my deceased priest was serving the divine liturgy........what do you think this means??? just rememberance of him, or is God trying to tell me to become a member of the priesthood????? :confused:

I don't know for sure, but it is definitely something to pray about and investigate.

If you feel called, pursue it under the guidance of your bishop. In time, God will let you know.

It's probably just that you think about Church a lot, so it invades your dreams and he's a part of that. I would certainly hesitate to ascribe the dreams to divine intervention, but I don't know anything about anything. Maybe there's a good reason church is on your mind a lot, and that reason could certainly be that God is calling you to the priesthood [or not, or whatever], but I wouldn't take the presence of these dreams as evidence of anything except that you've been thinking of Church a lot lately - and make of that what you will.

Generally we are advised not to pay too much attention to dreams and visions as few of us are pure enough to be able to safely discern whether they are of God or not. It would be a good idea for you to discuss the dreams with your spiritual father.
