View Full Version : My view, on ceremonies past.

-----------------------------------------
This is how I feel things were meant to be:
-----------------------------------------

Once upon a time...

There lived a man and woman who fell in love.

They did NOT have any 'relations' until it was CLEAR they were in love.

NOW...

KNOWING that their FIRST-EVER 'relations' would spirit-bond them for their

lives, they had a beautiful-celebration because the two would become

one.

The celebration WAS beautiful.

...And they lived happily ever after.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

However...

Mankind started believing that this 'celebration' was necessary

for God to marry people.

Mankind also started viewing 'courts' in the same way.

I feel many (but not all) Christians are wrong about marriage.

The Church of God was wrong about Who Jesus was

(they crucified Him)

However, A CERTAIN HUGE DENOMINATION DOES teach SIMILARLY in the way that I do about marriage.

(that a-man-and-a-woman COULD POSSIBLY be married without a ceremony, or license.)

(They view many other denominations as being FALSE.)

(=A FALSE ceremony -in their eyes-.)

(However, unfortunately, THEY teach that IF one belongs to this denomination, a ceremony -in their church- IS necessary.)

(But -I- don't -necessarily- belong to their denomination at all.)

What they believe IS possible (as far as I can tell):
------------------------------------------------

=A 'Common Law Marriage' between a 'spirit-bonded' man-and-woman.

(THIS teaching, I'll recieve, because it's true.)

So... (in my opinion),

When one says (falsely) that a license is NEEDED for marriage...

One has opened the door to those who SHOULD NOT be 'married together'.

(Same-sex SHOULD NOT be married together.)

(And 'they' think -falsely- that this license 'does it' for them.)

(GOD DOESN'T WORK THIS WAY.)

(He takes A MAN AND A WOMAN, and joins them spirit-to-spirit,
for 'their-lives')

(By NOT seeing -or teaching- HOW GOD WORKS, look what is reaped.)

Here we go again........

How long is this crusade going to continue???

After posting six different threads of the SAME topic, maybe Daverain isn't sure if he got his point across yet. Maybe after another twenty more, he'll move on to the next crusade. Hey, at least the spacings have gotten a little tighter in his writings. :D

Daverain, with all due respect, your Cinderalla fairytale is getting a bit too repetitive for some of us. Do you have any other fairytales on your bookshelf to share with us besides this same one? ;)

(lol)

Dearest brothers and sisters,
---------------------------

I MUST go on like this...

As long as it takes for ALL to know this.

And, as long as I'm -also- TOTALLY CONSUMED by marriage.

(I'm not the only one here who FOCUSES on marriage.)

In other words:
--------------
I'll 'continue', possibly, until I die.

(-I feel- People EVERYWHERE NEED to know this.)

-Peace in Christ.

Ok.

You are free to express your opinions.

And myself and others are free to disagree with them.

Daverain, in your "not so humble opinion":D, what is your personal testimony of how God has WORKED in *your* marriage? Did you pay for a marriage license and are you in a TRUE (= spiritually-bonded) marriage?

Since some of us are having trouble understanding your messages:preach: , maybe your personal testimonies may help "paint the picture better" (as you said).;) And please try tightening up your spacing just a little more if you don't mind...especially if your testimony is a long one. Your dearest brothers and sisters would appreciate it. :)

You've asked a VERY personal question.

Please try to understand if I keep it PERSONAL.

(do you and Knight know each other? ...Just wondering.)

And...

YES.

Any and all ARE perfectly within their right to DISAGREE with me.

(although clearly, not ALL disagree.)

Peace in Christ.

I am disappointed that you are not willing to share your personal testimony with us. After all, that's one of the many great privileges of being God's children is to testify on His behalf by sharing our personal testimonies. I can respect your decision for privacy. Hopefully someday you'll have a different outlook on that and have an open heart to share your testimony.;)

I'm keeping certain personal things PERSONAL (out of respect for my wife).

Of course. She's my sister. :)

From a spiritual standpoint anyway. :D

Seriously, no we do not know each other. We are merely united in disagreeing with you. ;)

Hookay.

< I > -COULD-,

point out that SOME Christians:

ARE united with me

on my specific-marriage views,

as well.

In this sentence however, I will not do that.

Yes I do like to (lol) as well.

-Peace in Christ.
