...and what do you see? From reading the gospels, reading and learning about Jesus short life on earth, what are your impressions on Him concerning His personality?

"...we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than
the angels for the suffering of death, crowned with
glory and honour; that he by the grace of God
should taste death for every man.
For it became him, for whom are all things, and by
whom are all things, in bringing many sons unto
glory, to make the captain of their salvation
perfect through sufferings. For both he that
sanctifieth and they who are sanctified are all of
one: for which cause he is not ashamed to call
them brethren, Saying, I will declare thy name
unto my brethren, in the midst of the church will
I sing praise unto thee. And again, I will put my
trust in him. And again, Behold I and the children
which God hath given me.
Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of
flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part
of the same; that through death he might destroy
him that had the power of death, that is, the
devil; And deliver them who through fear of death
were all their lifetime subject to bondage.
For verily he took not on him the nature of
angels; but he took on him the seed of Abraham.
Wherefore in all things it behoved him to be made
like unto his brethren, that he might be a
merciful and faithful high priest in things
pertaining to God, to make reconciliation for the
sins of the people. For in that he himself hath
suffered being tempted, he is able to succour them
that are tempted."
(Hebrews 2:9-18)

"That which was from the beginning, which we have
heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we
have looked upon, and our hands have handled, of
the Word of life; (For the life was manifested,
and we have seen it, and bear witness, and shew
unto you that eternal life, which was with the
Father, and was manifested unto us;) That which
we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that
ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our
fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son
Jesus Christ."

Jesus is the most perfect friend. Sure He is my King, all things under the Father ahve been put undernieth Him. He had the courage to endure punishment and pain to vanquish all sickness. He was obedient to the death. He wasn't born with a human body, but a heavenly body, He concoured death and stole its keys. He now sits at the right hand of the Father. He has made room on His throne, waiting for me. He is God and He calls me friend.
Jesus is my bredrin.

Amen! Jesus is not only the most perfect friend, but He is my BEST friend. He is a kind of friend that will never let us down. He is always there for us and wants the BEST for us...to live an abundant life here on earth and in Heaven. He is my security and no other love comes before Him. He is first in my heart and my peace and contentment comes from Him. He is the one that fills our voids and brings us joy, peace, love and passion. May we all get to know Jesus personally and experience His passion and love for us.

I see Jesus in a way that's very difficult to put into words. A remarkable man. When His disciples were amazed at his teachings I can see why. They are so simple and yet not something anyone could think of. When I think of Jesus I imagine Him picking up a baby, or putting His arm around a frail old woman. I see someone who was always at the centre of a crowd and whom people noticed the minute He entered a room.
I think of Jesus as being a happy figure, always smiling and prepared to encourage with a gentle, warm voice. I also see Him as someone who had deep hurt inside him becuase He knew His fate. I think he cried not for what He was going to put Himself though but because He knows there are so many people unwilling to accept Him.
When I think of Jesus now, as opposed to in the Biblical sense I see Him sitting next to God (whom I can't imagine) watching me, even as I write this. When I do something write I can almost see Him smiling and when I do something wrong I can feel Him sighing and shaking His head. When I pray I see Him with His hand on my shoulder reminding me that He's there and knows what's on my mind.
I think Jesus is a cheery person. Always willing to laugh and yet hurt at those who don't want His love.

"Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay
down his life for his friends.
Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command
you. Henceforth I call you not servants; for the
servant knoweth not what his lord doeth: but I have
called you friends; for all things that I have heard
of my Father I have made known unto you.
Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you..."
