I have become so troubled by so much suffering among teens and young 20-somethings. So much depression, ADD, self mutilation, and more. It's so different than what I experienced. Don't get me wrong. I got into plenty of trouble when I was younger - drinking, drugs, sex... There seems to be a lack of hope in this generation. WHY? Is it a symptom of end times society? Is it the enemy taking a foothold on this gereration?! Is anyone experiencing this? Has anyone else noticed this?

It's because the hippies abandoned God and had a profound influence on our society. They did some free lovin' only to have it and several other things (such as PTSD for the Nam vets) rip their marraiges apart so you have kids growing up in broken homes. You have lazy parents who let their TVs raise their kids for them. You have radical feminists on a crusade to psychologically neuter every male in America from and early age. You have judges perverting justice. You have no discipline in the schools. And that's just the beginning.

Yes, a generation can be cursed. A generational curse can last around 3 generations and God blessing can last 10 generations, or something like that. Both God and satan work in generations, from the begining of the world. All the curses that our parents have recieved from satan, and from their parents, make its way into our lives. Only the power of God can cut that trend and establish Hid own.

I think this is the verse you are looking for:
Exodus 20:4-6 "You shall not make for yourself an idol, or any likeness of what is in heaven above or on the earth beneath or in the water under the earth. You shall not worship them or serve them; for I, the LORD your God, am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children, on the third and the fourth generations of those who hate Me, but showing lovingkindness to thousands, to those who love Me and keep My commandments.
