i'm trying to understand these differences. i've read the posts here, and i'm trying to find historical references here.
all i seem to find is differences about the validity of the pope and the debate over Christ's nature; either One Divine Nature(Monophysitism right?) and Two Natures without confusion, without change, without division," perfectly united in a single person(that is the wording of the website http://mb-soft.com/believe/txs/chalcedo.htm so would this be called polyphysitism?)
so is it safe to say that these are the main differences? is there anything else the seperates?

The OOs are NOT monothysite heretics. What they call "one Nature" or "one Will," we call "cooperation of two Natures and two Wills as one Person." It really is in the end a semantics issue, not a doctrinal or dogmatic one.
In this, they are no different from the EO, VC, or Anglicans :)

How many of the differences are based on culture? If any? Just curious.

I hope you weren't put off by my question... my apologies if it was ill-placed. :crosseo:

And why is a non-Coptic answering the OP's question?

RC's play pipe organs
OO's just play pipes
EO's don't play anything

Probably because no Oriental/Coptic Orthodox have responded. I think he did a good job of answering it in a respectful way, FWIW...
