My son and I just got back from a hike along a creek bed in 3 feet of snow. The temperature is 0 F and the windchill is -17 F. Life is good!!

So how is your weather?

Hi, RP Where do you call home (generally speaking). Here in upstate New York we often have weather like you described. However, today it reached 60 degrees. Tomorrow, winter returns, and temps are projected to plummet right down to the teens by Sunday. Oh, well! It was nice while it lasted. by the way, I live in the Finger Lakes region, where it is beautiful eight months of the year, and cold for the rest.

I'm in Northeast Iowa. Rolling hills, forests and farm fields. We had our warm day yesterday...it was a high of 35. We have been getting a strong wind from the northwest all day and it has caused a temperature plunge that is expected to continue for several days. That's probably what is headed your way. This is great survival training weather for my son. He wants to walk the Appalachian Trail someday, so this extreme weather is good for him.

I am in Australia, today is very hot 44c.

A storm has just ripped through in ten minutes, bringing hail and ripping winds. Caos for a few. When it cleared it was hotter than before (well the humidity had risen)

It's summer, thats normal.... :D

We're coming out of a warm spell of several days of 50 degree weather that melted all the snow, but it's back to more seasonal temps today.

Well..we're in Western Missouri, and we're pretty cold. 5 F. Haven't checked the windchill, I don't want to know LOL, Cold enough as is.
I live in a rural area of small towns and farm fields. There are a few tree wind blocks but not many, so when the wind blows...there's not much to stop it.

brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Wow Son Of Thunder. Is that 111 degrees Fahrenheit.

Do you live in the desert to get such high temperatures?

It will probably be about 60 F here today in southern Louisiana. Was about 80 F a couple of days ago. Even in the heat of the summer we usually only get up to the mid to high 90's. It's a rare heat wave to get over 100 F

It seems that you Rural Preacher are at the other extreme!! I've never been in weather that cold!

haha, I live inland from the City of Sydney. it is rae to get this hot, but typical at this time of the year to get extreme temps. It zaps you of energy and thankfully doesn't last.

Today is going to be 34c..so far it is humid and sticky.

I can't imagine the cold, I guess many can't imagine the heat.

Now 34c--93 F seems a lot better James. I could live with that. In fact 93 F plus humid and sticky sounds just like Louisiana in the summer.

I'm happy to hear you guys don't have 44c everyday!!

Here in the US I believe that only the more desert type areas get temperatures as high as 44c-111 F.

Yesterday it was 10 and today it is -12. I don't know what that is in American.. but it's cold in Canadian...

Well, we just got about an inch of snow this morning. It's the second accumulating snow we've had all year. The first one was 2 feet deep which is very unusual for my area. It's still snowing lightly outside but it's supposed to stop within an hour. It's also very cold at 15 degrees F and the temperature is still falling!

Hey ya'll. I live in the North Georgia area. We haven't had any snow yet. If we do get some, then we won't get but about 1-2 inches. It's about 20F right now. It shouldn't get above 30-35 today. I wish it would snow, that means No School;)

It was 20 this morning and supposed to go down to like 5 tonight.

Very odd right now because it was really warm end of last week and very rainy so there was water streaming off the mountain and still is but when it get out in the open it freezes so a lot of roads have big patches of Ice on them.

We had a fellow show up half drunk to our service Friday night looking for more booze (our church used to be a bar) he left pretty fast thought
Right in the middle of Romans 1

Go figure!

Yesterday it was in the 60's, but today it never reached 40, which is really cold for Central Alabama. It is supposed to be the coldest it has been in months in the morning (18 degrees). I'll have to wear my thermals to work.

We set three records last week here in Richmond VA. 10+ day without going below freezing in Jan. and two days that had high records of 76 deg.

now this week is a different story all together. 30 being the high and into the teens tonight, chance of 10 or more inches of snow Wensday, Saterday, and Sunday. YEAH!!!! Bring on the SNOW!!!!!!

~ Anything under 60 degrees is too cold for me.
~ I prefer around 98-103 with 15% humidity.
~ Snow is pretty to look at and all, but that is about it.
~ The kicker is that I am planning on going to Harbin China sometime soon to study and teach. The average annual temperature there is 4 degrees C! The have 6 months of snow on the ground and ice on the river. Go figure. Such is life.
~ Continue to discuss amongst yourselves...

Peace,

Leimeng

Flatulo Ergo Sum ~~~

~ When in doubt, don't bother.

Actually yeah that's not too bad. We're going to get a storm on Saturday night.. some are talking about 115 cm. Yes, that is over my daughter's head. I'm just thankful that we don't live where they get the really bad snow.. like in NFLD where they can get 5 feet.

I know. I live East of Syracuse NY, and we average a great amount of snow every year (150-200 inches) the people just North of the city get anywheres from 300-400 per year. If we get 3 inches they get a foot. Amazing. The U.P. of Michigan was like that as well. I cannot imagine a snow storm that could pound out five feet at a time. Yikes!!!!
