Hope this doesn't confuse any of you, but SerenityBlue has now become Charlene™ ! I'm tired of "SerenityBlue" and wished I had chosen this screen name first. ;) However, I've come to know this board of TC-CL well, and stuff, and prefer to be called by my name here...the "real" me. SBlue can visit other places...but Charlene™ belongs here.

Hello!

I'm "retiring" SBlue... for a long while at least. It has been a screen name I've used in other places too. I changed it in those places too. ;)

Why are you retiring it?

I am planning a sabbatical from doing sculpture, but I might keep my screen name. I don't have any cool real-life nicknames and "Sarah" isn't that interesting as a screen name.

I'm tired of it. Overly used. It needed a rest. ;)

Welcome back Charlene aka "CB". I'm not very creative at picking screen names, but I wished I had given a little more thought about mine.

By the way, what is that circle of stars revoloving around your head? ;)

Hi Jim. I like your screen name. ;)

The circle of stars means "dizzy" - which I am. That inner ear infection is still with me, and I have a doctor's appointment for Friday. In the meantime, I have jury duty tomorrow, so will just have to go and hope I don't fall down. Our jury commissioner here is pretty hard-hearted and will not let anyone off of jury duty. It is entirely up to the judge to let us off if we are ill. So I have to go present myself to the court in this condition before I can get off, if possible. Oh, and they will NOT accept a doctor's excuse anymore, unless it is for a chronic condition!

Hey, Jim, here is a thought. I wonder if Jim™ is taken? ;)

I wonder when I will have to go to jury duty. *gasp* I'm 20 now so I guess they could call anytime, eh?

It isn't so bad, jury duty. It is rather interesting how the legal justice system works. Our family has a law enforcement background, so unfortunately I'm never picked to serve. :(

It usually is easy to get the ™ on the keyboard. Press alt/2 on the PC, and option/2 on the Mac. Try it. ;)

oh oh... well it's been a while since being on a PC for me - maybe the keyboard needs to be setup for the special characters? Perhaps someone else here can help you out. :holy:

Odd thing. . .I'm 22 and I've never been summoned for jury duty.

My youngest is 3 years older than you, John, and I have never been called for jury duty!

Well, I served on a court martial board in the Navy...

I signed up to vote at the age of 21, and was called to jury duty that year, and have been summoned regularly ever since. I guess once they got you, they got you. I wouldn't mind, but it's like every 12-13 months. :(

I registered to vote when I was 18. . .they handed out voter registration cards at an assembly for the seniors who would be graduating. . .so, they've got my name, but I've never been called. . .

In my day, it was 21 to register, then the Viet Nam War changed that idea. Our sons registered at the ages of 18. They even vote every chance they get. Erik has been called to jury duty once.
