Great News - and a little bad news too

The great news is our son, Allan, who is serving in the U. S. Army in Afghanistan, has just informed us he passed his board last Friday, and is due to be promoted to Sergeant! This will be effective March 1st, he said.

This news made us very happy, and made me forget my ear infections momentarily! Please continue to pray for Allan. :crossrc:

Also, please pray they replace the heater in his bungalow. It went out about a month ago, and they made him buy his own extra blankets (2 of them) to try to stay warm. He said the temperatures at night are about 30 degrees.

Dear Lord, please be with Allan and all our service men and women, keep them safe and provide for their needs. Move also the hearts of those here living safely in the US and elsewhere to remember them in their prayers and letters. Bless also our Sister Serenity Blue and clear up her ear infection. :prayer:
