Anyone have any information on IMB full-time requirements? And also how are IMB missionaries funded?

well, you can check out http://going.imb.org/longterm.asp to view the different categories the IMB has to offer. I know for a fact that a career missionary has to have a seminary degree from a southern baptist seminary. Also, since you're only 21, there's a program through the IMB that's called "Journeyman" which is designed for unmarried college graduates, and is a 2 year commitment. I've had several friends go through that program.

As far as funding goes, IMB missionaries are funded by the cooperative program of the southern baptist convention. Every christmas, southern baptist churches take up the "Lottie Moon Christmas Offering" and it is designated for the IMB. You can find all of that information at the IMB's website.

Do they have to travel around and fund-raise like in other denominations?

Well, they do if their trip is only partially funded. Most of the time, IMB career missionaries are fully funded by the IMB. One of the perks of being a southern baptist missionary I'd guess.

With plans of being a future missionary with the IMB, one thing I've really enjoyed was their strict requirements to go long term. Hip hip for high demands.
