Hi Gang,

I am happy to report, that I was accepted into Membership at Downriver Baptist Temple, In Lincoln Park, Michigan. I previously was a member at the Pentecostal Church I used to attend, and that is when the bottom fell out, The Lord really opened my eyes to the false doctrines in those Churches. and I am happy to report, that Now, I am in a Church that is preaching God's Word, and Isn't sugar coating it or watering it down. They're a Fundemental, KJV, Baptist Church. For what's it worth, They didn't accept no letter a transfer from no Pentecostal Church, I left that Church, with a resignation letter to the board. in their MAILBOX, I was outta there, as I knew things were screwed up in that Church, Doctrine, Pratices, You name it, it was there, one of the Pastors even believed in the Catholic Teaching of Transsubstaination, (meaning the communion elements became the REAL body and blood of Christ! ) I was glad to get outta there! I so much more at peace in this Church and I know the REAL Word of God, not some Man's preversion of it. is being taught.

Pray for me, as I join with this group of believers... that we acomplish much for the Body of Christ.

Congratulation on your new spiritual home. May it be a blessing.

Might I ask which sect of pentecostalism you came out of? A/G perhaps?

You guessed it. I was around the A/G for 20 years. Man has things changed, for the worse in the last 20 years. Had my fill of it. and left. Best decesion I EVER made.

Read 2 Timothy 3 and you'll see what I mean.

I dont think id go that far with the A/G. I went to their main bible college in Springfield, MO and attended a KJVO Fund. Baptist Church while there. My only beef with the A/G is that some, not all take the gift to an extreme. To the point of it being ridiculous. Sorry to hear you had a bad time with them. Oh, that and I disagree with their view of women in ministry.

In anycase, I dont want to hijack your thread about you finding a new home. Does your new church have a website or do you have a picture you can post for us? :)

Oh, that and I disagree with their view of women in ministry. They all do it, trust me. Been there, did that, got fed up and left. Not mention that the A/G is headlong involved in the ecumenical movement, which is, again, mentioned in 2 Timothy 3. and further more, Pentecostalism is more into Emotionally based worship, leaves people seeking after something, that quite frankly isn't there.

Does your new church have a website or do you have a picture you can post for us? :)well, No pics yet, there's supposedly a website, but I got to meet with a brother to get the address. I'd like to see if I could get a domain registered, But our Church is kind of struggling money-wise, we're not that big. So, It's one of them things. websites are considered a luxury. Our Church is working on keeping the basics. lights, Gas, ect... I'll admit it, they could use the help, money-wise...
Anyhow... I'm happy to be there.

Congrats on finding a new church home! :) I truly hope that it is a blessing!

My wife and I are still visiting various churches in our area and hoping to find someplace to call home soon...

I will pray for you as you settle in... And would appreciate prayers as we keep looking. :) God Bless!
