Stars falling and complete darkness at day

I was reading where these professors were trying to explain the day of may 19th 1780 when for two days darkness fell all over the United states or the world as far as I know, they talk about it in memoirs of the American academy of arts and sciences through 1783 vol 1 pp 234 235 and in the collections of Massachusetts historical society,part 1 vol 1 pp 97 and 98 and also the connecticut historical collections mentions it but nobody could figure the reason. You couldnt see the sun nor the mooon or a piece of white paper a few inches from ur face.
I just wondered if anyone had any thoughts on that and know about it.
Also November 13th 1833. Denison Olmstead in the American Journal of science and arts writes about the day of the falling stars saying from the gulf of Mexico to Halifax,until daylight till with some difficulty ,put an end to the display,the sky was scored in every direction with shining tracks and illuminated with fireballs,At Boston the frequency of meteors was estimated to be half that as flakes of snow in an average snowstorm,traced backwards their pathswere invariably found to converge to a point in the constalation of leo? ......I find this very interesting like a sign that a roaring Lion is on his way. well I dont know much about these dates,wonder what jewish dates they fell on if any? :o

The darkness of May 19, 1780 (http://www.oxleigh.freeserve.co.uk/wp57.htm)It looks like the darkenss was only over a part of the north east US and was probably caused by intense forest fires that had been burning to the north for several days, but would, of course in those days before electronic communication, have been totally unknown to the residents. The period of intense darkness lasted only about 2 Hours, not 2 days ;)

This has been documented as the yearly Leonid Meteor shower (http://www.merrycoz.org/books/METEORS.HTM). As we who watch such things have seen over the last 20 years - these events can be spectacular or pallid - it can and does vary immensly from year to year.

A particularly intense shower, in a time and location where there was NO light pollution would be note worthy indeed.

But not cataclysmic........

Henaynei,I should have known you would be the one who had heard of these days.I learned it from a pamplet a local church here in Houston puts out. They relate that these are prophecy fullfilled events. I have heard so many things in the past that I believed right off the bat that now I'm kinda lerry. They make it sound much better then you :P

But until someone shows me proof I tend to believe what you said.Oh lord lightning just cracked so loud behind me when I wrote that last sentence.

Ok that was scary. Ok back to the show.Well I was kinda hoping for more exciting info on these days. My most embarresing day is when I heard the story about the rumor that water had started to flow from the Temple mount. Well I believed it right away and told a few of my friends,but by the end of the day I found out it was a hoax

I was reading somewhere in astronomy prophecy about hale bopp comet that it spells a sentence , each time it cunjuncts with another star ,you write the name of that star down and pretty soon you have a sentence.this article took the month of dec 98 and said the trail kinda went like this- The one who was slain for the sins of the world is flying swiftly to judge the world in rightousness. I din't know what to think about that either..
but it was interesting because Hale bopp did break the bands of Orion and that same article talked about Haggiah 2-22 saying that Hashem on a certain day will begin to overthrow the throne of kingdoms and he will destroy the strength of the heathen kingdoms.
This person writes that dec 14 1998 ,clinton and Hillary made news supposedly holding up an envelope containing the omission of death to all Israel within the arabs treaties or whatever. and that this date was the 24th day of the 9th month Haggiah 2 18. consider from this day foreward,consider it.
The writer explained from that time that all the leaders started dying or impeached of replaced even listing the death of John Jr Kennedy.

But I don't know what to think of all this either.
