Dreamcatcher

cost: 5 blessings
"for our Native American friends"
in the Special Items category

*I'm from the tribe of the Navajo. A dreamcatcher is one of the most common symbols of all Native American tribes, so I thought that maybe I could share with others what my heritage is through this dreamcatcher. :) But this is just a suggestion...

Or maybe a feather would do... other than the dreamcatcher.

A dreamcatcher could offend people, a feather would be better. :)

 I'm greatful you're here!
I have a friend in Arizona who came out east here, from the Navajo tribe too! I love listening to authentic Native American music and poetry. Some of our friends here have been to local Pow-Wows too.

I have made dreamcatchers myself, have dreamcatcher earrings and have a dreamcatcher tatoo also. I hope we can have one as a specialty item too!

I wish we could, possibly, if you don't mind me asking this, have your name added to it delicate_flower ???

I hope we can share more christian involvement and cultural guidance in authentic Christian Native American Art. :prayer: I'm also in prayers about this...(???)

That's pretty cool that you have a friend of the Navajo tribe. Not many people know who we are actually.

Dreamcatchers are beautiful... from my own understanding, they are used to keep nightmares away while you sleep. But I'll have to look that up even more. :)

Lol, that would have been cool... naming the feather "Delicate Flower's feather". Hehe, a nice little thought for me. :D

is there any especial meaning attached to the dreamcatcher?

According to Native American folklore/legend/tradition, dreamcatchers are supposed to catch the bad dreams (like a spiderweb) and allow the good dreams to filter through while you sleep. I believe you are supposed to hang them in your bedroom window or near your bed.

That's the meaning that I was taught when I was younger...

Awesome! :D
