I don't believe you need to respond with an attitude like this. The US state icons were made because they were REQUESTED not because of some US conspiracy against the rest of the world. Nobody said that flags of Europe, down under or Asia were not to be allowed (which by the way are already available to be put under screen names). I am from Europe, England to be exact, and I don't find it offensive for the little state icons to be displayed - infact I made them!

Alaska doesn't need to pay me to wear the icon, they already gave me this year almost $1,000 just for living here! The state already gives me enough, I mean, when you look at it, if you cut Alaska in HALF then the three largest U.S. states would be:
1) Alaska 1
2) Alaska Volume 2
3) Texas

Well, God also blessed Alaska and up here there's a mere 1 mile of road for every 42 square miles while the rest of the U.S. has an average of 1 mile of road for every 1 square mile AND up here each citizen has essentially an entire square mile to himself while the average for the rest of the U.S. is 74 people sharing each square mile!

(only thing is it stinks that we all have to live in an igloo!)
