I heard in last week's parasha an orthodox rabi say that when Isaac married Rivkah, she was 3 years old. This makes no sense... how could she lift the water buckets for the camels who drink lots of water? How could she have twins at four years old?

In the Artscroll Chumash (The Stone Edition) it comments:
Acording to the most Rabbinic chronology, the nurse was sent along because Rebecca was but three years old at the time, so that she would have need someone to care for her. Ibn Ezra, however, comments that she was older, but it was customary for the nurse of a girl's infancy to remain with her as her servant throughout her life.

I appreciate that this is common thinking in many circles. But I respectfully disagree :)
