I know that you aren't going to like what I am about to say, but you guys have the liberty and ability to go to CBD or amazon.com any time you want to buy whatever book hits your fancy, while pastors and Christians in poor countries can't even get a Bible to call their own. When I read this thread, it hurt me to think that people who already have many, many books can't think about others who have such a desperate need and send $26 to ship a pastor pack to Liberia or Nigeria or Ghana.
I have asked you guys for help and haven't received even one prayer, let alone a penny. Right now I am angry that people who live in a place where bookstores and online stores present a banquet, while all around them there are people starving for even the most basic Book. And you even start a thread to brag about it! :(
I've gotta go, I can't bear to be here right now.

Good Day, Lambslove
I am thankful to the Lord trhat I have that freedem. I do understand the fact that not all people are so blessed. How do you know no one as sought God on your be half?
My church does support:
http://www.beamsbibles.com/bibles.htm
The purpose of BEAMS is supplying WHOLE
HARDBACK BIBLES, free of charge, to independent
baptist missionaries on the mission fields. We only
provide the King James Version of the Bible in the
English Language or Bible's equivalent to the King
James Version in other languages. We are presently
supplying Bibles to missionaries in 81 countries.
I was not my intenet to "brag", sorry  that you took it that way. Only to share and ask a question.

I'm not really asking you to support yet another mission, I'm asking you to support me in my mission.
I'm not some stranger in a distant land, I am your friend, a person you know, a person who has shared myself here at CF for almost three years. I'm asking you to help me carry out God's plan for my mission, either by money or by prayer. Two pizzas cost more than I am asking for, and those will be forgotten in an hour, but those Bibles would keep feeding a community for years to come.
I'm more than a little ticked that no one could even bother offering up a prayer for me here because they were too busy bragging about how much stuff they just bought. None of us needs more stuff, we have more than enough. Others have nothing, and we are rubbing their faces in our abundance while ignoring their need. That's what I'm mad about. How much stuff will you have to have before I don't need your help anymore?

I have never seen any post by you asking for Prayer for your work. It may just be I missed it I would be happy to pray for you. I find it hard to believe that if you had asked that no one was praying. I think you paint with a broad brush on this issue.
Tell me a little about the work you are doing. I am rubbing nothing in any one's face.

I must have missed your request. Please know that I will pray for your efforts! :) I agree that often we enjoy our comforts more than we should, and that God wants a cheerful giver - not a cheerful buyer. That said, sometimes buying books to grow in knowledge is not to be condemned either....it depends on what you do with what you learn, I guess.
Can you post a link to what your mission is about exactly and how we can assist? Like how would the one give money. Do you have a paypal account set up?
God Bless!

How much stuff will you have to have before I don't need your help anymore? The first time I posted it was because I was angry at you and your comments. Friends don't talk to friends like that. I decided to let it go in hopes that you were just having a bad day, and perhaps things were piling up and you needed a release. But now I am asking you to stop this lambasting us all as uncaring sots. I for one have offered to do a website for free for your organization and have prayed for you, that is all I can do at this time. Plus we prayed for you and your house and the closing and yadda yadda.
