When a brother or sister asks on CF for prayer, are we more likly to skim over it and say 'someone else will do it' or do we go in and pray for/with them? I've been guilty of the latter myself but as Christians, when someone asks for prayer should that sway our attention from theology or any other discussions?

Jam 5:16 Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working.

I'm starting to think that when I skim over someones prayer request I'm failing to submit to my brother or sister out of genuine love or care for them. What greater good can we do for someone then to take 20 seconds to a minute out of our schedule to lift them up? Does not Christ say:

Mat 25:34 Then the King will say to those on his right, 'Come, you who are blessed by my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world. For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me, I was naked and you clothed me, I was sick and you visited me, I was in prison and you came to me.' Then the righteous will answer him, saying, 'Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you drink? And when did we see you a stranger and welcome you, or naked and clothe you? And when did we see you sick or in prison and visit you?' And the King will answer them, 'Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me.'

I think the principal can be applied in terms of lifting up one another.

We all can say that sometimes when people have asked us to pray that we have shortly forgotten. :( One thing my mom has taught me that when someone asked you right after you say yes to stop and pray right then also to pray for God's Will be done in that situation.

"Pray without ceasing."—1 Thessalonians 5:17
James 5:16 to "...pray one for another..."

I must confess that most of the time I don't continue to pray daily for these requests, but I generally pray right then.

I typically pray right then, and then follow up several times with prayer. If I get an update of the situation, I pray more. I typically go back through old prayer journals every so often and prayer again if needed.

Keeping a prayer journal is something that I need to start doing.... I typically pray at the time. If I see a thread again or something spurs my memory I will pray more... A journal would be a powerful tool though.

I carry a little pocket notebook, the kind with the spiral at the top. I write down whatever I have to pray about, then when I have time to pray, tada! I have a whole list of things to discuss with the Lord and I don't have to wrack my brain for something to say. It's very effecient and I spend more time in prayer with the Lord when I use my little notebook, so I get more out of it myself, too.
