CF Christmas Logo Competition 2004!!! :)

Okay, as Christmas is coming along soon, I'm running a CF Christmas Logo competition.

Web graphics designers are welcome to participate.

Prizes:

1st prize = 50,000 blessings
2nd prize = 20,000 blessings
3rd prize = 10,000 blessings

End date: 11 December 2004 (2 weeks before Christmas)

How to enter:

1. Get a copy of the CF header logo as you can see on top of every page.

2. Get a copy of the CF header slogan graphic, also on top of every page.

3. Be creative - add some Christmas graphics theme to both!!! ;)

4. The winners will be selected for creativity, appropriateness and style.

5. The 3 winners will have their logos and slogans show up from the end date of the competition, 2 weeks before Christmas until Epiphany on January 6 2005.

Go ahead and start creating! ;)

If the red X pops up, you can right click on it, then after you right click on the red X, choose show picture, and as long as the picture isn't like deleted from the server or something like that, the picture will reload and show up.

In a tube site that was offering its images for either personal or commercial use. :) I'd have to do some digging to find the actual url now. I visited well over 100 tube sites today alone.

I haven't been able to find the exact font used in either of the original banners, though I am pretty sure I have it somewhere. Since Erwin says it doesn't matter, I've given up trying to clean up around the letters and have started using different fonts. ;)

I love those christmas images that you created :clap: They are pretty with Christmas colors and it still coveys the message that the site in a Christian site designed to united all believers in one body :thumbsup: I love the "He's the reason for the season." hmm, alright. i just did it anyway. i have 1.5 entries (.5 because i have two versions of the logo). i decided to go for a subtle change so people that don't know about the cf christmas change will be shocked in a different way. i hope they are liked.

I have to wait for the ability to integrate a plugin that I made into the graphics software I use. The person I'm waiting for is very willing to make the minor change to the software for me, but he won't be available to do it until Friday or Saturday, so I'll hopefully finish my entry somewhere between Sat and Mon.

So here is my idea...

As a web designer I realized that the two images were joined using a spacer which is actually a background image so I figured it would be easy if that was left alone. (less work for Erwin...at least if it was me I would be spending lots of time resizing my table widths and what not...) I also wanted to keep the color scheme the same as to keep it looking smooth and nice as Erwin has made it :thumbsup: thus the bgcolor is the same orangish blend.

So here are my left and right images and then finally a screen shot of what it would look like at 1024 by 768 with the default spacer.

P.S. Notice the snowman is made from the fishies! ;)

But it flows with the site. Orange at the top, orange at the bottom, orange text in many places. It compliments the blue. From an asthetics point of view "true" christmas colors don't flow at all...

Unless he wants to change the color of all the buttons such as "reply" and "quote" buttons there will be orange on the site, end of story. Changing CSS is one thing (although tedious) but changing graphics...I wouldn't want to do it...
