What do you think "Church" Means? I believe it is those who believe in Christ. We are the Church! -GasTank-

Yes, that is exactly what the Bible says. The word translated as church in the NT is ekklesia which means the "called-out ones".

1 Cor 12:27-28
27 Now you are the body of Christ, and members individually.
NKJV

The church is the body of Christ (Col.1:18) It is also the kingdom (Mk.9:1)

It is described as the local body, such as in (Heb.10:25), and the church universal as when all the local churches are assembled (1Cor.10:16-17), and as individual Christians such as those (Saul) Paul was arresting before he converted. (Acts 8:3)

It is important not to mistake the local assembly with the body of Christ. The word translated as church only means the "called out ones". The local churches rarely if ever are entirely made up of saved persons. Indeed, I would suggest that if the local assembly has failed to draw in the unsaved, then perhaps it is not performing it's job in spreading the gospel.

Thus the church is not the organization but is simply the body of Christ amde of up those indidviduals who have received Christ as Saviour.

Believers that come together as one are called the body. We are also the body of the church. Each member is important to the church. If one member goes astray, it brings down the whole church. When each member follows God's will, then the church will move foward. Therefore, we as the body, are the church.

An Example: Phisically, we have a body. It has arms, legs, hands, feet, ect. We are also called humans. Each part of our body represents each member of the church. The whole body working together phisically would be called a human. The human represents the church. I believe, we are the body; and working all together as one, we are called the church.
