I have to admit that I don't pray on a regular basis. I pray whenever I remember, I pray to thank, to ask for advise or guidance usually. I love praying and recently my prayers are being answered. But even though I am trying to get closer to God, trying to do my best to be a "Warrior" different things happen and it seems that here and there these things keep taking my attention away from God. Yes, I am an Intercessor... No prayer did not come easily to me, I had to learn it. I had no idea what I was doing. I pray as much as possible, we are to pray without ceasing.
I find when in a jam and having a hard time with something the Serenity Prayer is nice.

Prayer for the inner man is, " Let me grasp God's LOVE the breadth and length and height and depth of it."

Something to remember is it doesn't matter what you sound like, it's what you are saying. Come on, don't be shy.

I always put on the armor of God everyday, plea the blood of Jesus over my loved one's, my pastor & pastors' & our President & supporters, my state, city, neighbor hood, all my relatives, etc....

I pray as much as I can. Reading the bible is a great ways to kick start yourself, but actually, you should always pray before you read the bible for God's wisdom to open your spirit to what he saying.....

ADORATION- praise him!
CONFESSION- we are to confess our sins to him & repent, etc.
THANKSGIVING- thank him for all the blessings he has gave me.
SUPPLICATION- prayers for the Saints & The Lost & etc.

This is short version of how I pray to My Lord Jesus Christ. Praise Him, too!!!!!!

yeah, I used to pray for people when I heard sirens too, but now that I live in the city, I ignore them because they are always going off...it's just constant. Whenever I go home to the city though, they always bug me and I just drop a line to God for them.

Considering God is impersonal, some sort of unity in the matter would be a requirement too make sure the he has at least faintly heard the prayer(s) given. Doing it alone is difficult and upsetting for me, therefore assistance when speaking too the unknown is best tackled (or presented) with a group.

I grew up with the ability to do such alone, but I'm in no favor of it. Wanting to be part of
a greater whole, lonely prayers too God seem like pointless screams too a corpse under ground.

Without other forms of energy release and open expression, the prayer in and of itself is a dead
absolute including if how it's being applied is considered a negative force with the personal field
of what God may actually be.

It's not the 'body of Christ' if all are separate/disconnected under the 'house of God'. Thus, worshiping the corpse, decay, and death essence of the universe for failing to work together under his apostles demands and claims.~TheDemiprist

I am starting to pray much more than I used to, and I'm getting a greater sense of peace because of it. I always seem to forget to pray before food, though :doh:

I've started to pray using Anglican Prayer beads lately and I find them a great help (they focus my mind more).

I find myself wanting to pray all the time, but I prefer praying alone in my room, with the door pushed to (just like Jesus taught us to). If I need to pray in public, I just close my eyes, but don't put my hands together. I also pray whilst driving (with eyes open, of course ^_^), and whilst walking to and from school runs.
