I've added the following new things you can add to your CF Profile:

1. Expanded Biography - more room to add more info about yourself. :)

2. Marital Status

5. Favorite Hymn/ Worship Song

3. End Times View - this is a multiple selection - choose a combination

4. Life View - liberal/ moderate/ conservative/ fundamentalist

6. Current Prayer Requests - you can add them here so that others can pray for you when they view your profile!

Obviously none of these are compulsory - up to members to fill them out. :)

:) Could someone define the selections on End Times View?
Choose options that best describes your beliefs regarding endtimes.
Historic Preterist Futurist
Amillennialism Premillennialism Postmillennialism
Pretribulation Midtribulation Posttribulation

And could someone explain the differences between conservative and fundementalist?

Question: on life view, do you mean that we choose these labels as they apply to political views, or theological views? (In my case it probably doesn't matter either way, but I know there are posters here for whom the answer would vary.) Thanks!

Historic Preterist Futurist

Pretribulation Midtribulation Posttribulation

*Historic - (Unsure what this meaning is as it applies to the end times)

*Preterist

\Pret"er*ist\, n. [Pref. preter- + -ist.] 2. (Theol.) One who believes the prophecies of the Apocalypse to have been already fulfilled. --Farrar.

*Futurist

\Fu"tur*ist\, n. 2. (Theol.) One who believes or maintains that the fulfillment of the prophecies of the Bible is to be in the future.

*Millennialism

A thousand-year period of holiness mentioned in Revelation 20, during which Jesus and his faithful followers are to rule on earth.
Therefore, Amillennialism would be one who does not believe this at all. Premillennialism and Postmillennialism are .... pre and post what, I don't know. (Well, the millennium, obviously.....but I am not familiar with these terms). :help:

*Pretribulation, Midtribulation, and Posttribulation all deal with the rapture. Some believe the saints will be raptured Pretrib (before the tribulation), some believe it will happen Midtrib (during) and some believe it will take place Posttrib (after the tribulation).

As far as conservative vs. fundamentalist, my guess is that a fundamentalist is equal to an "ultra-conservative." One who adheres strictly to "fundamental principals," believes in the inerrancy of scripture, and opposes secularism.

Hopefully someone can help fill in the gaps a bit. :)

I think Historic means one who believes what the early church believed.

Could be, but since Preterist and Futurist both deal with how one views the prophecies, wouldn't it stand to reason that Historic also runs along this same line somehow?

:shrugs: I dunno. :)

Thanks so much Erwin! You're great!

On a side note, I was just curious if we could have the option to "Enter Choice Here:" on the End Times view as well like we do on the Origins View and such? :)

Erwin, you do such a great job!

Just how expanded is the biography? I tried adding more stuff, and since the box was so big, I thought I could fill it up. It only ended up putting up about a third of what I wrote. If it isn't too much trouble, could you make the available biography space pretty big? I think that would be neat if you could do it, but if not, that's fine.

I really don't get the end times list, I'd love to know what the official definitions are, for the benefit of people who don't follow that closely.

I think this was asked and answered in the Eschatology forum.
