This is primarily directed at Fr. Rick and Rev. Smith, but if anyone else wants to answer, please do. What vestments do Old Catholics wear, and what street clothes do their priests and Bishop's wear?

Vestments--

Alb, Stole, Chasuble (same as Roman or High Anglican). Bishops wear a mitre.

Street Clothes--

Well-- you've seen my picture in my prof. My bishop insists on black for the clergy under him, but that is just his 'thing', not an across the board. (He says he doesn't like those 'stripey Episcopal shirts', referring to a blue/white pinstripe clerical shirt he saw a deacon wear.) Most wear the same clerics you would see on a Roman or Anglican priest. I have both tab and band collars-- no rule there.

My bishop wears purple or black shirt (usually purple).

I hope I answered your question... if not, just ask.

Are you allowed to wear camouflage or fluorescent orange if you go hunting?

LOL...

Yes...

I wear my clerics (clerical shirt/collar) when I am on any kind of church related activities. If I run to the grocery store, you may catch me in jeans and a t-shirt. If I'm hunting, you can believe I'll be dressed for it! (And while I rarely go hunting anymore, my grandfather was a champion dog breeder so I grew up wading through a river swamp at 2am chasing dogs.)
