What does one have to do to be baptised? I mean can you walk in , get baptised and walk out again or do you have to do some sort of lessons?
I work every Sunday so attending church is not possible for me.
Does it really matter what church baptises you?
I am just new to christianity and your help will be muchly appreciated.
Thank you.

Any Baptism with water and in the name of the Triune God ("In the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit") is valid. Different churches/denominations will probably have different things required before Baptism, so you may want to check with the individual church/denomination. This may range from a meeting with a pastor, a class, or a series of classes, or church membership. Sorry I can't be more specific, but I hope that at least helps you somewhat.

What Recht said and...

Check around. Some churches offer Wednesday evening services, Saturday evening services, Sunday evening services...all different times. I had a coworker who worked a second job on Sunday so I brought her to our Wednesday evening services. She ultimately joined a church and was Baptized on Wednesday evening. Yay God!!!

Welcome to the Family of Christ!!!

I'm in one of those churches (Particular/Reformed Baptist) that have specifics for baptism.

We believe that someone has to make a confession of faith in Christ, and be examined by the Presbyters before they may be baptized.

And since 1640 Baptists have practiced immersion exclusively.

for my church, we have two baptism sessions a year, and for those intending to get baptised, they've to attend weekly class after sunday service for a period of time. There're cases of people dropping out of baptism class, so i guess the classes help you to get christianity straight.
