What is going on?

I just had a post struck from OBOB this morning because I was defending Orthodoxy, and I was being very civilized in doing so. Why is it that there are those on OBOB who can bash Orthodoxy as hard as they do, and when I go to gently defend Orthodoxy I get my post removed?

Because OBOB is their board. I think the best course of action is for us to refrain from "debating" there, and only chime in when their is some gross misrepresentation of our faith or history. Unfortunately, there has been a lot of the latter go on there lately, mostly at the hand of one poster who will go unnamed.

I didn't even say anything inflaming, I just said that the issues Orthodoxy has with Rome are 1) Universal Jurisdiction 2) Papal Infallibility 3) The new teachings which Rome has promulgated since 1054. There are 3-4 people who I won't name who are on that board who love to just bash, bash, bash?!

I know, it really isn't funny. It's downright rude, in fact, since those-who-shall-not-be-named are the first to yelp when the tables are turned. Sheesh.

In a way I feel that certain issues should be allowed to be debated more. This is a discussion board, not a monastary but for some reason it just seems that threads are closed at the first hint of debate. I actually think there should be a forum just specifically for that purpose. It really is bad when you see someone bash your beliefs and cannot say a word.. :mad: I know I hate it myself!

For the record I was also like to say that I have never felt slighted or bashed in anyway by any of you, again I am so sorry you had that experience at OBOB..
