Is the Gospel hidden in the Torah as this man describes?
Or are the meanings of the names in Genesis 5 rather subjective and thus not very useful?

I appreciate Chuck Nissler and he has some interesting things to say. But what is his point really? Is the point to prove that the "NT" is more relevant. This is not to say that I don't think he may have a point. It seems that all too often we look for "the heavy revies" when the weightier matter is how we walk in our everyday walk.
There are many ways to look at things and many levels to view them from, and they good and illuminating and useful (or can be). But if what we are reading, learning, doing is not changing us in some small way then it is just so much intellectual fluff.
I would hope that someone reading Chuck's article would walk away with a greater confidence that the creator of the universe does indeed know the beginning from the end, and can and does speak with eternal application ;) .

I'm a big, big fan of Chuck Missler in general. A very bright guy who knows his scripture.
I don't assume he's always right, but he's pretty sharp.

More than this, the Torah IS the first Gospel and the revelation of Messiah. It is all about this front to back. Just as Yeshua said, the Torah and the prophets were about Him. Yeshua is the center pillar of elohim which is also Torah and the word (Torah) became flesh and dwelled among us.

The entire reason I posted this is simple. If this Gospel of Jesus is hidden in the Torah...then wouldn't that be a useful tool for you all to convert Orthodox Jews to Messianic Jews?
I wasn't trying to imply the New Testament is superior to the Old by posting this article. I was trying to help.

I was trying to help. When it comes to sharing the Truth with folks, DoF, as I'm sure you yourself know - no one can hear unless they are ready to listen and there is much that must be dealt with before most Orthodox Jewish people would be able to give it a fair listen. BUT, if and when such are ready, this tool might help :)

Dof,
My friend and brother in Yeshua,
Please, I ask you in advance not to think badly of me, for I do not want to start another session of bickering, but once again your signature line, which you have changed, has something that really is disturbing.
It says in the last line " "Whoever does not wish to have Mary Immaculate as his Mother will not have Christ as his Brother either..." - St Maximilian Kolbe"
You know, what this seems to be saying, Correct me if I am wrong, is that your salvation, which makes you a bother to Yeshua through adoption by the father, is not available to you unless you accept the divinity of Mary. This my dear friend is not true and is heretical.
I do not want Mary as my mother. I had a mother, who is now dead like Mary is also dead. Perhaps if Elohim is merciful I will meet them both in the Olam Haba. I also look forward to meeting Moshe, Avraham avenu, and Melech David and many more. But most of all I look forward to meeting with Yeshua, the only Messiah and the one who Adonai sent for me and you and is the only one who died on the cross to atone for my sins and yours and the only one who is given to intercede or me and you.

Charles-
I do not believe Mary is divine. Ok? That's all I'm saying on the subject. Please leave it alone unless you want to come to OBOB and ask about it. I can't respond here without getting into trouble.

I may be way out of my place, and if I am, I'll edit. Charles, the man is entitled to his own sig lines, ya know? Couldn't you at least take it to PM's and let DOF post here in peace? I love ya Brother. Please don't take this harshly -- it isn't meant that way... just one poster friend to another.

10 then let it be known to you and to all the people of Israel that it is in the name of the Messiah, Yeshua from Natzeret, whom you had executed on a stake as a criminal but whom God has raised from the dead, that this man stands before you perfectly healed.
11 “This Yeshua is the stone rejected by you builders which has become the cornerstone. 12 There is salvation in no one else! For there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by whom we must be saved!”
