I became a Chirstian about two years ago, and attend a moderately evangelical Church. I felt the presence of the father, and have often recieved the spirit, and am aware of His living with in me. I also Believe that Jesus is the Son of God, that he Dies for us all, and That he will come again. The problem is where as i feel i knwo the Father and The Spirit i dont' feel i know Jesus. My automatic response when talking about somethign is 'God', where for most people in mmy sort of Church it is 'Jesus'.
I've tried just talking to Jesus, but it seems no diffrent from talking to God. I'm just really confused and feel i'm missing out somehow
Any advice/Prayers would be so appreciated :help:

Have you heard of the book, He Chose the Nails by Max Lucado? That book might help you. (see if your local library has a copy)

If you are talking to Jesus, you are talking to God - we see the Father only through the Son.

I had a similar problem (and still not fully recovered), but with a different person of the Trinity. My problem was with the Holy Spirit. It seems that the Father is very active in the OT, and the Son is very active in the NT, but we don't directly see the Holy Spirit working, at least not in the sense that we see the Father and Son. So I didn't involve Him in my prayers much.
What helped me was to gain an understanding of my salvation from a whole-trinity perspective. Knowing what each person of the Trinity does to accomplish my salvation. And a good outline of this is found in Eph 1.
It was the Father who, from eternity past, forewknew me and chose me to be an object of His grace and mercy and to be redeemed from sin and death. The Son became the substitute for my sin, redeeming me from my sin according to the Father's plan. The Holy Spirit called me out of darkness and applied that salvation to me, giving me the gift of faith so that I might believe on Christ and be united to the Father. And it is the Holy Spirit who remains with me now, teahing me and guiding me into truth and righteousness. And it is the Son who is still actively making intercession for me to the Father, based upon His work at Calvary.

At times I pray individually to the Trinity. When I'm praying for salvation of a loved one or friend, I am speaking to the Holy Spirit to give them the "nudge". My general "prayers" go to the Father, through the Son but directed at the Father. To Jesus I thank Him for giving His life for me on the cross and dying for my sins. I never really thought about me praying to all 3 until this thread. Thanks for starting it!

Please, please read "The Jesus I Never Knew" by Philip Yancey. This is such a moving book and I think it can do a lot to help you. Most any bookstore (Christian or secular) will have this book. Hope I've been some help to you

Remember that Jesus taught us to pray to "Our Father Who Art in Heaven" and to ask in His, Jesus, name. While the other prayers do no harm, I believe that the Lord's direct teaching should be followed.
