I’ve been studying Acts for a long while >> and I’m still in chapter two… ;) Anyway, I wrote this out in another forum to help explain G-D's plan for the ages and the yet future restoration of Israel into her land... I’m wondering if you could proof read it for me??
G-D gave to Israel (7) feasts in Leviticus, they are called the “feasts of the LORD”. The festival year outlined as follows…

(1) Seven DAYS. Exodus 20:8-11 "Remember the Sabbath day"
(2) Seven weeks. Leviticus 23:15 "Seven Sabbaths shall be complete"
(3) Seven MONTHS. Leviticus 23:24 "In the seventh month--a Sabbath"
(4) Seven years. Leviticus 25:2-5 "In the seventh year--a Sabbath"
(5) Seven times seven years. Leviticus 25:8-10 "The Jubilee"
(6) Seven times SEVENTY years. Daniel 9:24-27 "The prophecy of Daniel"
(7) The Millennium. The Sabbath of the ages. Revelation 20:3-6

The Passover and Unleavened Bread were part of Israel's REDEMPTION from Egypt. The feast of Firstfruits, Pentecost, Harvest and Trumpets were associated with REAPING. The first two feasts (Firstfruits & Pentecost) being anticipatory, the last final (Harvest and Trumpets). The Day of Atonement and Tabernacles are associated with ATONEMENT by blood and dwelling in booths.

Christ was the Passover lamb at His death; He was the Firstfruits of the harvest at His resurrection. Pentecost was the celebration of the ANTICIPATED harvest. It was an anticipation of harvest, just as firstfruits were. The GATHERING of Israel to Jerusalem at this period was in anticipation of the greater gathering at the time of the end. Trumpets will be sounded in the book of Revelation and will signal the final in-gathering. The two loaves (Pentecost) are with LEAVEN and are a type of the two divisions of ISRAEL. They were described as Israel and Judah. G-D knew this division was coming and that there would be a restoration of all the tribes into one nation see Ezekiel 37 somewhere above.

Of course it went completely ignored. :)

I have read something like this before, as a matter of fact, I just e-mailed the person who had the book to find out the name. It gets really in depth about the fulfillment of the feasts. I am sorry your post was ignored, it is actually quite insightful. Thank you for sharing it.

Can you tell me how the Feast of Tabernacles was associated with Atonement.

Not very well i think... :sorry:

Here's the short, short version cause i truely don't have all this figured out yet... I believe Day of Atonement delt with the restoration/resitution of the nation (Israel) << which would follow the fulfilment of the feast of Trumpets. Tabernacles however, appears to picture the coming kingdom and ends with "the great day".

I'm assuming the great day points to the end of the millennium when Satan is finally defeated for good and cast into the lake of fire.. and God's plan for this word has come to an end...

Tabernacles then would point to the atonement and reconciliation of the world, which i see happening during the millennium.

I guess i see the Millennial Kingdom as the final atonement for everything - not in the sense of "making ammends" but more so the restoration of the world...

But i'm probably way off... Be Gentile... :)

ok....let me understand this correctly, atonement is more than dealing with sin. Atonement is also returning things back to the original state????

I suppose it's both... Dealing with sin would be returning this creation back to it's original state – which I believe happens during the millennium when this creation is regenerated to Garden of Eden conditions (pre-sin)…

A primitive root; to cover (specifically with bitumen); figuratively to expiate or condone, to placate or cancel: - appease, make (an) atonement, cleanse, disannul, forgive, be merciful, pacify, pardon, to pitch, purge (away), put off, (make) reconcile (-liation).
It appears to me > the day of Atonement, Tabernacles & the Great Day are all connected in some sense and revolve around the “dealing with sin”…

...then again > I could be reading to much into it. :)

Hi visionary, :)

Are you saying tabernacles is related to atonement because it deals with the "marriage of the Lamb"?

Isa 62:2-5 KJV And the Gentiles shall see thy righteousness, and all kings thy glory: and thou shalt be called by a new name, which the mouth of the L-RD shall name. (3) Thou shalt also be a crown of glory in the hand of the L-RD, and a royal diadem in the hand of thy G-d. (4) Thou shalt no more be termed Forsaken; neither shall thy land any more be termed Desolate: but thou shalt be called Hephzibah, and thy land Beulah: for the L-RD delighteth in thee, and thy land shall be married. (5) For as a young man marrieth a virgin, so shall thy sons marry thee: and as the bridegroom rejoiceth over the bride, so shall thy G-d rejoice over thee.

Is that what Isaiah is describing in chapter 62?
