Shalom,
What are some different kind of prayer books that are used in Judaism? What is a siddur? And, there is a torah at my local barnes and noble, should I buy it? Or shuld I just keep my bible?

Shalom Michael. The "Torah" at your local bookstore is probably the same as mine, it is just the first five books. You need them all. :) Go to your local library, if there is a large Jewish population in your area they most likely have one there and you can check it out without paying a cent.
As far as a Siddur, yes that is a synagogues litergy book. It contains the prayers and blessings and the differnt parts of the service. There is one for holidays and one for the rest of the year.
Here is a great site to read the Siddur in transliterated Hebrew http://siddur.webjew.org/ There are many blessing you can learn from there that can be used everyday, it is not just for the synagogue.

I just got back form a Christian book store, and I bought the complete Jewish Bible! I can't wait to start reading it. Question though, what is the main difference between the NIV and the CJB?

The CJB has a different translation, especially noticeable in the NT as he tries to put a Jewish perspective into it. Basically, because the people who wrote the NT were Jews, he put their perspective into it.

Cool, but I have one other question. Acts 10! What is the thought in the Messianic Community about it?
