Well actually, not enough time to devote to an indepth look at everything written. Do you have any particular part you wish to discuss? Any excerpts you want to point out?

Yup. Source and text criticism. The article is a bit out of date, though, since it was published in 1997. While it references the older scholars, it does not come to grips with Crossan's identification of five different types of parables in "The Dark Interval" or his major study "In Parables".

I do not find it shoking that the Gospels were written by human beings.

A good book on the parables is Meditations by Met ANTHONY (Bloom) of blessed memory.
