Some new details coming out.

U.S. Army sergeant who shot Austin protester Garrett Foster posted tweets about retaliating against demonstrators

Allegedly, the driver accidentally drove into the protest, which he claims to not have known was happening - how he missed the horde of people in the street, I don't know. He apparently thought Garret was law enforcement at first, then fired on Foster when he started to raise his weapon.

I find that kind of iffy, but again, it's worth noting that Perry specifically says he shot first, and Foster never fired. Not sure where that bit keeps coming from.

There are video clips where two or more different weapons can be clearly heard.
There were two weapons fired. That’s not in dispute.

However, no one - not even the driver himself - who was at the scene says Foster fired his weapon. So that’s dead on arrival.

Three years later, a pardon, because in Texas, it’s apparently okay to drive your car into a crowd of people and murder one of them, as long as they’re liberals.
