Which excess?

If we compare the fossil oil consumption of the USA with other countries: Can we honestly say that the USA needs that much, or is it pure wasting of resources? Smaller cars, better insulation of houses etc. could reduce much.

Almost half of these 6% area belong to Russia, the next big part belongs to Canada, then I#m not sure whether USA (Alaska) or Denmark (Greenland) has the third place. If you are less lazy than me, you can look it up, e.g. on Wikipedia. it is expensive to get it, perhaps there will be drilling...

Only if offering this supply is cheap enough to let the prices go down. But there is no evidence that drilling in a polar region, with pipelines that break every month because of climate change (or, alternatively, need some billions to build a construction stable even in melting permafrost)...

Most of these points resemble promises that were given by Hitler … and even fulfilled (according to the German press in Nazi Germany). It is no coincidence that the word Reich was used. Do you prefer a boom in fascist law-and-order-state, or a somewhat weaker economic in a free society?

What type of clean up do you have in mind? A change from the majority voting system to proportional representation would clean up some problems (e.g. gerrymandering). :heart:

Trump is a proven to be a liar, so if what he says contradicts that which everyone else says - why should I believe him? It's weird to believe a liar more than the consensus of the rest of the world.

Who does? to the contrary, despite some rhetoric, most countries, including Germany, hesitate to answer to the Russian aggression according to international law, give rather symbolic military help to the Ukraine (but rather money). You do not even mention that Russia started a full-fledged war...

I will not defend the Nazis ;) I described their view, my view is with yout opinion. The law describes what is tolerated and what will be punished.
