Thanks for your doctrinaire point of view, disputed even by many Christians.WWJD?

To bury the dead is one of the corporal works of mercy...but to judge the souls of the dead isn't. Golly.Let's try something hypothetical. Let's suppose that a transgender activist wanted his/her funeral to be at an Independent Baptist church. Do you believe that the members of that church, as well as the staff & ministers of that church should be expected to be perfectly acceptable to that request from the transgender activist?
John 3:3-18Thanks for your doctrinaire point of view, disputed even by many Christians.
LOL, I promise you "the liberals" don't really care. The dude can say whatever he wants. But then you guys come along and highlight what was said like it's supposed to give us pause. It doesn't. Can he kick a field goal? Did he talk about that in his interview? I mean, obviously he can and that's all anyone really cares about in the end.Your opinion about me could not be more wrong.
But here is my opinion. The liberals don't like that athlete's beliefs and opinions so therefore they attempt to discredit him.
Instead of debating the various different points in his message, it appears that the liberals would rather attack the messenger.
At least it was during an interview he didn’t make a scene at the stadium where people just wanted to watch the game, like someone else did. We’re supposed to listen to athletes political views now? Though they were supposed to shut up and play?
For me, it’s more about where they do it at. People want to watch sports, not have sports double as a place to express an athlete’s political or religious views.Unlike all those athletes who express views you disagree with, they clearly haven’t thought them through, this one saying things you agree with has thought them through. What a coincidence.
What is this supposed to mean? This seems to confuse the difference between wanting something to be real and that thing having any sort of external reality. A common problem these days, especially in right wing propaganda.
Maybe a graveside service?Let's try something hypothetical. Let's suppose that a transgender activist wanted his/her funeral to be at an Independent Baptist church. Do you believe that the members of that church, as well as the staff & ministers of that church should be expected to be perfectly acceptable to that request from the transgender activist?
Do I understand correctly that they will do a funeral for a trans activist but not for a person who committed suicide? To bury the dead is one of the corporal works of mercy...but to judge the souls of the dead isn't. Golly.
Thank you. I was misinformedI have been to Catholic funerals for suicides.
I remember one in particular, the son of a water aerobics buddy and a very active Catholic. Her son, high on drugs, shot his ex wife and turned the gun on himself with their young son in the backyard.
The pastor was so kind and compassionate and seemed to know exactly what to say.
My cousin committed suicide and was given a Catholic funeral. He was 15.Do I understand correctly that they will do a funeral for a trans activist but not for a person who committed suicide?
The deceased apparently didn’t even ask for a Catholic funeral, he only liked st. Patrick’s Cathedral because of its cultural significance. It appears those who planned the funeral allowed it to happen. It is deplorable to not allow the dead a dignified burial of their wishes. If you can see this then I can't help you.
