That does not answer my question. Why the worry about bias instead of impartiality? Bias is a human condition that being impartial is an attempt to correct.

That would be the impartial part. You know, trading people fairly even though all humans have bias. It used to be something we strove for.

Do they have to like the guy to be impartial? They just need to treat them both the same for the duration of the debate. If Trump can just control himself and not behave like a child during the debate then he won’t need to be treated like one.

Yeah like what happened with all the proof we were supposed to get about the supposedly rigged 2020 election. I’m sure they’ll also ask about his ongoing criminal trials he’s facing. They’ll probably ask about January 6 and what he was doing while his supporters were attacking the Capitol and about his support for the Covid vaccine while a majority of his side seem to be terrified of it.
I’m guessing you wont like these kinds of questions. I can see why you’d rather him just avoid this altogether.

Yes. I think they can. I have been interviewed by someone who disliked me. (job interview ) He was able to be impartial since he was a professional.

Or do you have some other substantive reason to ask that question?
I would say that it would be a huge violation of privacy to demand people disclose what medication they are on.

Like, what is your policy on immigration and how will that work?
How will you tackle inflation?
How will you create jobs?
How will you support or reduce the power of unions?
What is your position on student loans
What will you do about healthcare?
What is your position on international relations and wars?
