That does not answer my question. Why the worry about bias instead of impartiality? Bias is a human condition that being impartial is an attempt to correct.Trump agrees to a debate and gets no say about whether there will be an audience and who the moderators will be?
If Peter Doocy and Sean Hannity were chosen I’m sure you’d be expressing concern
Tapper is not just biased he has condemned Trump and shown contempt for him
That would be the impartial part. You know, trading people fairly even though all humans have bias. It used to be something we strove for.One possible reason it's a good idea is so that those watching the debate don't feel that the moderator is skewing the debate by doing things such as asking softball questions of the candidate they favor, while asking "gotcha!" questions of the one they don't. Or even participate in debating the candidate they don't like, as Candy Crawley did with Mitt Romney.
But as usual, the debate moderators will be the anchors of liberal news outlets, as if news anchors are the only ones who know how to ask questions.
You think they can be impartial? Would you want to be interviewed by someone you know hates you? That does not answer my question. Why the worry about bias instead of impartiality? Bias is a human condition that being impartial is an attempt to correct.
Do they have to like the guy to be impartial? They just need to treat them both the same for the duration of the debate. If Trump can just control himself and not behave like a child during the debate then he won’t need to be treated like one.You think they can be impartial? Would you want to be interviewed by someone you know hates you?
I can just imagine the questionsDo they have to like the guy to be impartial? They just need to treat them both the same for the duration of the debate. If Trump can just control himself and not behave like a child during the debate then he won’t need to be treated like one.
Yeah like what happened with all the proof we were supposed to get about the supposedly rigged 2020 election. I’m sure they’ll also ask about his ongoing criminal trials he’s facing. They’ll probably ask about January 6 and what he was doing while his supporters were attacking the Capitol and about his support for the Covid vaccine while a majority of his side seem to be terrified of it.I can just imagine the questions
Mr Biden, what’s your favorite flavor of ice cream?Yeah like what happened with all the proof we were supposed to get about the supposedly rigged 2020 election. I’m sure they’ll also ask about his ongoing criminal trials he’s facing.
I’m guessing you don’t like these kinds of questions.
Yes. I think they can. I have been interviewed by someone who disliked me. (job interview ) He was able to be impartial since he was a professional. You think they can be impartial? Would you want to be interviewed by someone you know hates you?
I don’t think they can or willYes. I think they can. I have been interviewed by someone who disliked me. (job interview ) He was able to be impartial since he was a professional.
Silly question. Everyone already knows it’s chocolate chip.Mr Biden, what’s your favorite flavor of ice cream?
What kind of medicine or drugs did you take a few minutes ago?Silly question. Everyone already knows it’s chocolate chip.
What would you say is the most pressing question they should ask Biden that you think they probably won’t ask him?
Is this based on the current far right wing propaganda being spread by Fox news opinion show hosts? What kind of medicine or drugs did you take a few minutes ago?
I don’t seriously think anyone would ask that of Biden but nothing will be off limits for Trump. He should push to get someone else to moderate. Is this based on the current far right wing propaganda being spread by Fox news opinion show hosts?
Or do you have some other substantive reason to ask that question?
I would say that it would be a huge violation of privacy to demand people disclose what medication they are on.
Private medical questions seem relevant to a presidential debate to you? Not sure why I was expecting a more serious reply. What kind of medicine or drugs did you take a few minutes ago?
That wouldn’t surprise me. No one would ask Biden what kind of performance enhancing drugs he was onPrivate medical questions seem relevant to a presidential debate to you? Not sure why I was expecting a more serious reply.
Maybe they could ask Trump what kind of boner pills he takes too.
Really, the moderators should be asking about policies rather than about the person.I don’t seriously think anyone would ask that of Biden but nothing will be off limits for Trump. He should push to get someone else to moderate.
Exactly rightReally, the moderators should be asking about policies rather than about the person.
Like, what is your policy on immigration and how will that work?
How will you tackle inflation?
How will you create jobs?
How will you support or reduce the power of unions?
What is your position on student loans
What will you do about healthcare?
What is your position on international relations and wars?
Like I said. I don’t know why I expected any kind of serious reply from you. That wouldn’t surprise me. No one would ask Biden what kind of performance enhancing drugs he was on
